Rajshahi reports zero Covid-19 positive case for 3rd consecutive day 

RAJSHAHI, April 8, 2022 (BSS) - No more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the division for the third consecutive day on Thursday, remaining the caseload steady at 1,19,211 since the pandemic began in March 2020. 
 
The infection figure is showing a zero figure for the last three consecutive days, said Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, divisional director of Health. 
 
As no more fatality was reported in Rajshahi city afresh for the last couple of days today, the death toll remained static at 1,748, including 705 in Bogura, and 342 in Rajshahi with 220 in its city and 179 in Natore, he added. 
 
Meanwhile, the recovery count stood to 1,15,611 in the division as two more were discharged from the hospital on the same day. 
 
Besides, all the positive cases of the lethal virus have, so far, been brought under necessary treatment while 26,057 were kept in isolation units of different dedicated hospitals for institutional quarantine. Of them, 22,986 have, by now, been released. 
 
Six more people have been sent home and institutional quarantine afresh while eight others were released from isolation during the same time. 
 
As no new detected patient, the district-wise break-up of the total cases remained static at 33,938 in Rajshahi, including 27,932 in its city, 6,521 in Chapainawabganj, 7,705 in Naogaon, 9,912 in Natore, 5,676 in Joypurhat, 24,934 in Bogura, 13,751 in Sirajganj and 16,774 in Pabna. 
 
A total of 1,25,087 people have, so far, been kept under quarantine since March 10, 2020 to prevent the community transmission of the deadly virus. 
 
Of them, 1,24,405 have, by now, been released as they were given clearance certificates after completing their quarantine period.
