Nine police personnel awarded for professional excellence

RANGPUR, March 16, 2022 (BSS) - Rangpur Range of Bangladesh Police today
awarded its nine personnel and two organisations with medals in recognition
of their professional and organisational excellence in discharging duties.
 
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for Rangpur Range Police Devdas Bhattacharya
handed over the awards at the monthly crime, law and order assessment meeting
for February-2022 held at his conference room in the city.
 
He distributed medals and certificates among the police personnel and
organisations of all eight districts under Rangpur Range Police for laudable
performances in handling crimes and maintaining peaceful law and order
situations.

Superintendent of Police for Dinajpur Mohammad Anwar Hosain received the best
organisational award on behalf of Dinajpur district police for the best
performances.
 
Officer-in-Charge of Kawnia Thana Masumur Rahman in Rangpur received the best
organisational award on behalf of Kawnia Thana police for best performances.
 
The awarded police personnel are Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) for
Rangpur C-Circle Md. Ashraful Alam, Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Samiul Islam of
Kawnia Thana in Rangpur, SI Md. Saddam Hossain of Pirganj Thana in Rangpur,
ASI Mohammad Ali of Birganj Thana in Dinajpur and ASI Subodh Kumar Roy Karji
of Mithapukur Thana in Rangpur.
 
Besides, ASP for Rangpur D-Circle Md. Kamruzzman, ASP for Lalmonirhat B-
Circle Taposh Sarker, Inspector (Investigation) of Badarganj Thana in Rangpur
Md. Nur Alam Siddique and Inspector (Investigation) of Dinajpur DB Police Md.
Dulala Hossain received awards.
 
Additional DIG (Admin and Finance) Md. Shah Mizan Shafiur Rahman, Additional
DIG (Crime and Operation) Md. Walid Hossain, Superintendent of Police (SP-
Estate and Welfare) Md. Abdsul Latif, SP (Media Crime Analysis) Md. Akhter
Hossain, SP (Operation and Traffic) Md. S$haidullah Kawsar, SP (Discipline
and Prosecution) Khondker Khalid Bin Noor, and SPs from Rangpur, Panchagarh,
Thakurgaon, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Dinajpur and Gaibandha
districts and other police officials were present.
 
The DIG directed police officials to remain alert to curb crimes, drug
trafficking, drug abuse, militancy and terrorism for maintaining law and
order and extending legal assistance to common people in a hassle-free
manner.
