CHATTOGRAM, Jan 26, 2022 (BSS) – Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested five alleged robbers from the city’s Kotwali area today.

Police also recovered one light gun, cartridges, and two knives from their possessions.  

Of the arrestees, six were identified as Rokey, 24, Saiful Islam, 30, Touhidul Islam, 24, Mohammad Shahabuddin, 32, Tajul Islam, and Abdul Hakim, 25.

Based on secret information that a team of dacoits was taking preparation to commit robbery in the aforesaid area, a team of Kotwali thana police detained them after raiding different areas in the city, said Nezam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali thana.

A case was filed with Kotwali police station in this connection.
