RANGPUR, Jan 22, 2022 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur

Metropolitan Police (RpMP) arrested an alleged drug trader with 1.50
kilograms of ganja from Modern Mour area in the metropolis this afternoon.

   "On a tip off, a team of DB police led by Inspector Md Mostafizur Rahman
conducted a raid and arrested the man with ganja from the spot," a press
release issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB and Media) of
RpMP Sajjad Hossain said.

   The arrested person was identified as Md Ashikuzzaman alias Ashik, 22, son
of Md Abul Quasem of village Malgara (Khandorchhora) in Kaliganj upazila of
Lalmonirhat district.

   "After filing a case in this connection against the arrested person under
the Narcotics Control Act 2018, the DB police handed him over to Tazhat
police station of RpMP today," the release added.
