PIROJPUR, Dec 17, 2022 (BSS) - Newly elected general secretary of Pirojpur district unit of Awami League Advocate Hakim Hawlader died of old-age complications at a hospital in Khulna. 

He was 76.

"Advocate Hakim Hawlader breathed his last at 8.22pm at a hospital in Khulna where he was undergoing treatment," family sources said.
 
He left behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives, political followers and well-wishers to mourn his death.
 
He will be buried at the family graveyard in Pirojpur town tomorrow.
 
Advocate Hakim Hawlader was elected general secretary of the party's Pirojpur district unit on November 26 last. 

Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock at the death of Hakim Hawlader and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
 
The minister also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
