CHUADANGA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 850 farmers of the district have 
received free agricultural incentives, including fertilizers and seeds, under 
the Agriculture Promotion Programme for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. 

The distribution ceremony was held on Sunday noon on the premises of the 
Sadar Upazila Parishad.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M. Saifullah inaugurated the programme while 
Upazila Agriculture Officer Anisur Rahman presided over it. 

Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) Officer Asif Iqbal attended the 
event as special guest.

According to officials, the initiative aims to support small and marginal 
farmers and boost production of Boro Ufshi and Boro Hybrid varieties. 

As part of the programme, each of the 650 registered farmers cultivating Boro 
Ufshi received five kilograms(Kgs) of paddy seeds, 10-kg of diammonium 
phosphate (DAP) and 10-kg of Muriate of Potash (MOP) fertilizer. 

Additionally, 200 farmers engaged in Boro Hybrid cultivation were provided 
with two-kg of seeds each.
