DHAKA, Sept 10, 2026 (BSS) —A police team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today arrested four leaders and activists of banned organisation in Uttara area of the capital.

According to a DMP press release issued here today, police arrested them while they were allegedly preparing to bring out a procession under Uttara West Police Station area.

It said the arrested persons were identified as Junayed Mridha, 19, Rakibul Hasan Pappu, 23, Sazzad Hossain Shuvo, 19, and Md Abdullah, 19.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid at around 1:15 pm today near Abdullahpur Flyover, where activists of the banned organisation were allegedly preparing to bring out a procession, Uttara West Police said.

Police arrested them from the scene and seized a banner from the spot, the DMP said.

It said legal proceedings against the arrested persons are underway.
