DHAKA, Sept 10, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury today called upon the government officials to effectively apply knowledge and skills acquired through training in public service and at their workplaces.

“The objective of training is not merely to obtain certificates rather to enhance officials’ efficiency and capacity in performing their duties by putting the knowledge gained from training into practical use,” he said.

Yasser was speaking as the chief guest at a certificate distribution and closing ceremony of the basic training course for 10th-grade officials at National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC).

Congratulating the officials who completed the training, the state minister said administration and workplaces are undergoing rapid changes in the present era. 

To keep pace with these changes, officials need to regularly undergo training to enhance their knowledge, skills and professional capabilities, he said.

He distributed certificates among the trainees and presented crests to the best-performing trainees in different areas of the training.

Principal Information Officer (PIO) Syed Abdal Ahmed and Bangladesh Cinema and Television Institute (BCTI) Chief Executive Abul Kalam Mohammad Shamsuddin were present at the event as special guests with NIMC Director General Muhammad Hiruzzaman in the chair.
