BOGURA, Feb 17, 2026 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of Police have arrested a 
prime accused of 16-years old youth Alif murder case in Nishindara area of 
Bogura town on Monday.

The arrested was identified as Rashed Hossain alias 'Dim poch' Rashed, son of 
Abul Hossain hailed from Nishindara Mondolpara area of Bogura Sadar upazila.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the DB police arrested Rashed from Mahasthan 
area under Shibganj upazila of the district at 5.30pm on the day [Monday]. 

After primary interrogation, the accused admitted that he stabbed Alif after 
failing to snatch, said Bogura DB Police In-charge Iqbal Bahar.

Earlier, the police also recovered the blood stained body of deceased Alif 
from the garage of his own residence at Nishindara-Sako area at 11am on 
February 13. 

Police found several marks of knife wounds on his body and seized a knife 
after the arrest of Rashed.

Legal action is underway against him, Iqbal Bahar added.
