DHAKA, Aug 30, 2026 (BSS) - A fire that broke out at a tin-shed warehouse storing jhut (garment waste) and cotton in Basabo area of Khilgaon in the capital was brought under control today.

The fire broke out at around 11:58 in the morning, and two units from Khilgaon Fire Station rushed to the spot and began firefighting operations at 12:04 pm, confirmed a Fire Service media officer.

The blaze was brought under control at around 12:28 pm, he said. 

No casualties have been reported so far.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be immediately known.
