SANGSAD BHABAN, Aug 30, 2026 (BSS) – The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs today discussed in details the Transfer of Property (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the National Human Rights Commission Bill, 2026.
The discussions were held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban during the third meeting of the committee of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad.
After thorough scrutiny and review of the bills, the committee recommended that the bills be passed by Parliament in amended form.
Committee Chairman Muhammad Nawshad Zamir presided over the meeting.
Committee members, including Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Md Asaduzzaman, Emran Ahmed Chowdhury, Sakila Farzana, Md Manzurul Islam, Mohammad Najibur Rahman and Alfaruk Abdul Latif, attended the meeting.
Secretary of the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, along with senior officials concerned from the ministry and the Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat, were also present.
The meeting reviewed the provisions of the proposed laws as part of the committee’s scrutiny process before their consideration by the House.
