DHAKA, Nov 17, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 28 leaders of the Bangladesh
Nationalist Party (BNP) from various units across the country today got back their positions.
The expulsion orders of these 28 leaders were withdrawn based on their
applications and in accordance with a decision of the party, said a press
release here signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The press release stated that the following individuals were previously
expelled from all levels of their positions, including their primary
membership, for violating party's discipline and engaging in activities
contrary to the party's policies and ideals.
The release also mentioned that Syed Liaqat Hasan, former President of
Chunarughat Upazila BNP (Habiganj District), had previously voluntarily
resigned from the party. Based on his application, his resignation letter has been withdrawn.
In addition, the suspension order against Principal Md. Khurshid Alam (Moti), president of Fulbari Upazila BNP (Dinajpur District), was revoked, and he was reinstated to his former position in the BNP.
Moti was previously suspended for violating party's discipline and engaging in activities contrary to the party's policies and ideals, according to the release.
