DHAKA, Dec 24, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury today said the work of building a new Bangladesh will begin tomorrow and its foundation will be laid by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
"Building of a new Bangladesh will begin tomorrow. The foundation will be laid by Tarique Rahman's hands. Our dream of building a new Bangladesh will now be realized," the BNP senior leader said referring to Tarique Rahman’s arrival tomorrow from London.
Khasru made the remarks as the chief guest at the book launch ceremony of ‘Ami Kono Aguntak Nai’, organized at Bangla Academy. Writer and Journalist Maruf Mallick and Ehsan Mahmud edited the book about BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
Khasru said the people’s minds of the country have changed after the July Uprising.
Emphasizing the need for internal party reforms and improving relations with the people, he said, "I prefer the concept of an 'alliance' over 'unity.' While a whole nation may not always unite in one place, if we can forge a partnership or alliance with the people, it will be easier to work toward the future of Bangladesh."
The senior BNP leader also stressed the importance of democratizing the economy, empowering women, and creating employment opportunities for the youth through technology.
“Tarique Rahman’s vision is that the government cannot do it alone. We must bring the private sector and NGOs into a partnership with the government. It is a comprehensive plan that outlines where, in which sector, and how everyone will work," he said.
