DHAKA, May 21, 2026 (BSS) - Land Minister Md Mizanur Rahman Minu today said the government is working to ensure transparent, corruption-free, and citizen-friendly automated land services across the country.
He made the remarks while addressing the closing ceremony of the Land Service Fair at the Land Bhaban in Tejgaon in the capital.
The minister said the government has taken a range of initiatives to transform the Land Ministry into a fully service-oriented and trusted public institution.
He added that efforts are underway to raise public awareness and reduce harassment in land-related services through automation.
"We want to ensure land services with honesty and dedication. Those who adopt a ruler's mentality instead of a service-oriented approach will face strict action," he said, warning against corruption, brokerage and harassment in and around land offices.
He also said the government will soon place a new bill in parliament to reduce delays in land-related cases.
The minister further noted that all land services are being brought under a single platform to make service delivery easier, faster and more transparent for citizens.
Speaking at the programme, Senior Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed said the government is working to build a sustainable, modern and people-friendly land management system through rapid automation.
He added that citizen service centres are being planned in 61 districts, modelled on the Land Bhaban service centre, to ensure easier access to land-related services nationwide.
