Inter-community harmony fair held in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Aug 30, 2026 (BSS)- With the aim of preventing violence against women, strengthening social protection and building bonds of harmony within families and communities, an inter-community harmony fair was held in Rajshahi.

The discussion session of the fair was presided over by Mohsina Begum, President of the Durbar Committee and Unit In-charge of CMES, while Professor Mobarra Siddika of the Department of Folklore and Social Development Studies at the University of Rajshahi attended the fair as the chief guest on Saturday afternoon.

Special guests included Kalpana Roy, President of the Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, Rajshahi District Branch; Rajkumar Shaw, Director of Anagrasar Samaj Unnayan Sangstha; Marina Hasda, Executive Director of MASAUS; Advocate Shamsunnahar Mukti, Lead of the Rajshahi Coalition Team of the project titled ‘Strengthening Generation-based and Inclusive Women's Movement’; and Promila Kisku, Mentor of the Coalition Team.

People from different walks of life and representatives of various organizations were also present at the fair.
