DHAKA, Dec 11, 2022 (BSS) - The newly appointed three Judges to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court were accorded a reception by the Attorney General's Office and the Supreme Court Bar Association today.
A large number of lawyers, including Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, Attorney General AM Amin Uddin, Supreme Court Bar Association President Momtaz Uddin Fakir and other judges of the Appellate Division and senior advocates were present during the reception held at the Appellate Division courtroom.
"The strong and ideological political leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib is visible behind all the achievements of this state... All institutions of the state can reach specific goals if the place of leadership at all levels of the state is ideologically and morally correct and strong," said Justice Md Abu Zafar Siddique in his speech, in response to the warm reception.
Justice Jahangir Hossain Salim said, "Bangabandhu, the greatest Bengali of all time, has inspired us on the paths of unity, brotherhood, philanthropy and sacrifice. We can play an effective role in building a non-communal society from our own position by holding and nurturing his ideals."
Expressing his hope that his future journey with the judges of the Appellate Division will be a happy one, Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam said, "I hope that the support I have received from all the lawyers, officials and personal staff during the long 19 years of judicial work in the High Court Division will continue in the future."
All three judges expressed their desire to dedicate the remaining period of their working life to the service of the country and the nation with honesty, duty devotion and hard work to maintain the greatness of the profession.
