NARAIL, Feb 6, 2026 (BSS) -Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman today said the party is committed to building a safe and dignified
Bangladesh for all.
"We don't just seek victory for Jamaat or the Daripalla (scale) symbol, but for the victory of 180 million people. We want to build a secured Bangladesh where all citizens will feel proud," he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at an election rally held at the Narail Government High School ground today.
"We do not wish to return to old politics. We aim to transform Bangladesh through change," the Ameer asserted.
He also spoke about the widespread insecurity faced by people, citing extortion and terrorism as major issues. "People are suffering, and no one is
at peace in society. I urge everyone to vote for the Daripalla symbol in the upcoming elections to bring peace to all sectors," Dr. Shafiqur Rahman added.
He also appealed to the public to vote 'Yes' for reforms to create a welfare state.
Following his speech, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman handed over the Daripalla shape symbol to Maulana Md. Obaidullah Kaiser, the Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for
Narail-1, and Advocate Ataur Rahman Bachchu, the candidate for Narail-2.
Advocate Ataur Rahman Bachchu, was attended by special guest Maulana Ashik Ilahi, a member of the Jessore-Kushtia regional team and former district
Ameer of Narail.
Supporters of Jamaat-led alliance from Narial-1, Narail-2 constituency
thronged the rally.
