DHAKA, Feb 6, 2026 (BSS) - BNP-backed alliance candidate and chief coordinator of Ganosamhati Andolon Zonayed Saki today said Banchharampur upazila under the Brahmanbaria-6 constituency would be developed into a self-reliant and prosperous economic hub through planned and sustainable initiatives.

He made the remarks while addressing a road show at Bottola Bazar in Chhalimabad Union today. Former MP and BNP National Executive Committee member M.A. Khalek attended the programme.

Saki said the construction of a bridge over the Meghna River would significantly improve regional connectivity, creating new opportunities for trade, industry and tourism.

He emphasized that local residents, including expatriates, would play a key role in investment projects.

He also outlined plans for road development along both riverbanks, promotion of tourism, establishment of industries, small enterprises and agricultural initiatives to boost the local economy.
