CHATTOGRAM, Sept 3, 2026 (BSS) - In the past 24 hours, law enforcement agency has detained 348 individuals during anti-drug special operations and routine activities in 11 districts in the Chattogram Range, according to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) office of the Chattogram Range.
 
DIG Abdul Quddus Chowdhury of Chattogram Range reported that among the 348 arrests 33 pertain to regular cases, 25 under Section 34 of the Police Act, five under Section 54 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 130 are based on warrants, eight are under sentence warrants and 86 in regular cases. 

Moreover, 94 individuals were arrested in connection with drug offences.

He said the operation resulted in the seizure of 3,284 pieces of Yaba, 327 kg 704 grams of marijuana, 41 liters 25 milliliters of liquor, two bottles of Scuff syrup and four bottles of foreign liquor.

Furthermore, 35 individuals have received various prison sentences through mobile courts as part of the anti-drug initiative. Concurrently, a total of Taka 8,060 has been collected in fines.
