RANGPUR, Aug 7, 2026 (BSS) - Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested a woman along with 455 pieces of Yaba tablets from Amashu Kukrul Dakshinpara under Porshuram Metropolitan Police Station of Rangpur city this afternoon. 
 
On a tip-off, a smart team of Rangpur DNC searched the house of the arrested woman in the area, seized the contraband Yaba tablets from her bedroom and arrested her, a press release said.
 
The arrestee is Fatema Khatun alias Putul, 38, wife of Faridul Islam of Amashu Kukrul Dakshinpara under Porshuram Metropolitan Police Station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) in the city.
 
A case has been filed in this regards with Porshuram Metropolitan Police Station of RpMP, Sub-inspector of the DNC, Rangpur Md Mosaddek Hossain said.

The arrested woman along with the seized drugs has been handed over to the Porshuram Metropolitan Police Station.
