RAJSHAHI, Aug 7, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton has directed engineers, contractors and other officials concerned to complete the city's ongoing development works within the stipulated time while maintaining quality.

He gave the directives while addressing a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development works under the Engineering Department at the conference room of Nagar Bhaban on Thursday. 

Speaking at the meeting, Mahfuzur Rahman said, "Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has entrusted me with the responsibility to make Rajshahi metropolis more beautiful and to ensure civic services.

"I am working tirelessly to implement the Prime Minister's directives. I want to build Rajshahi city as a more beautiful, clean, green, healthy and safe city. I want to collectively reshape Rajshahi metropolis anew."

The meeting was presided over by RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim.

Present at the meeting were RCC Superintending Engineers Khairul Baker and Ahmad Al Moin Parag, Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun, Budget and Accounts Officer Shafiqul Islam Khan, Executive Engineers Mahmudur Rahman, Nilufar Yasmin and ABM Asaduzzaman Sweet, as well as contractors and representatives of various contracting firms.

The meeting reviewed the progress of ongoing development works and discussed project implementation, quality assurance and timely completion of the ongoing works.
