RAJSHAHI, Aug 07,2026 (BSS)- Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned nine executive engineers of the Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) to investigate tender manipulation by Dr. Abdur Razzaque, former Food and Agriculture Minister.

In this regard, in a letter given to the Executive Director of BMDA on August 3, these officials have been mentioned as persons 'concerned with the allegation'.

These officials are - Executive Engineers Nazmul Huda, Enamul Qadir, Tofazzal Ali Sarkar, ATM Rafiqul Islam, Rezaul Islam, Rezaul Karim, Moniruzzaman, Rubina Khatun and Sanjida Khanam Molly.

They have been summoned by Abdul Malek, Assistant Director of the ACC head office, who is the inquiry officer investigating the alleged corruption of Dr. Abdur Razzaque.

The charge has been brought against former minister Abdur Razzaque and his relatives on alleged embezzlement of government money through various irregularities and corruption including irregularities, extortion, and tender manipulation in various projects of BMDA.

Among them, Nazmul Huda, Enamul Qadir, Tofazzal Ali Sarkar and ATM Rafiqul Islam were called on August 12. And the rest have been called the next day, August 13.

According to BMDA sources, these officials had close contact with Abdur Razzaque and his personal assistant. Through them, contractors were given work in various projects and commission was taken.

Executive Engineer Enamul Qadir said, they have received the letter from the ACC. “We have been called to find out whether we had any involvement with the former Agriculture Minister or not,” he said.
