MANIKGANJ, June 2, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested a man from the village Daragram under Saturia Upazila in the district for attempting to rape a third grade girl student. The arrested was identified as Adhikari Das, 52.

According to the complain the third grade girl student of the village Daragram under Saturia Upazila went to the village pond for bathing last evening where the accused tried to rape her.

Father of the girl submitted a written complain to the Saturia Police Station and Police arrested the accused, Sub Inspector (SI) of Saturia Police Station Md Mosharraf Hossain said.
