RAJSHAHI, April 13, 2026 (BSS)- The 11th meeting of the committee formed by the Local Government Division for the smooth overall operation of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) activities was held. 

The meeting took place today in the conference room of Nagar Bhaban, chaired by Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, administrator of the RCC.

During the meeting, the Administrator provided various directives, including instructions to concerned officials to perform their duties properly to ensure citizen services.

In the meeting, various issues, including leasing out the haats, bazaars, and ferry ghats under the control of RCC for the 1,433 Bengali year term and waiving 15 percent surcharge on municipal tax collection to increase the City Corporation’s revenue income were discussed.

Miscellaneous topics including the Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign for all children aged six months to five years in 30 wards by the City Corporation on April 20, 2026 also came up for discussion.

The meeting was attended by RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, its Secretary Sohel Rana, councilors-in-charge of various RCC wards, Roads and Highways Department Superintending Engineer Ahsan Uddin Ahmed, Department of Environment Deputy Director Tasmina Khatun, NESCO Superintending Engineer Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury, Rajshahi Development Authority Chief Executive Officer Mashiur Rahman, along with officials of the concerned branches.
