RAJSHAHI, April 3, 2026 (BSS) - A meeting of the Majlis-e-Shura [consultative 
council] was held under the initiative of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rajshahi 
city unit this morning at a community center in the city.
 
The meeting was chaired by Rajshahi city Jamaat Ameer Dr. Mawlana Keramat 
Ali, MP, while the City Jamaat Secretary Imaz Uddin Mondal conducted it.
 
Speakers at the meeting included the city's Naib-e-Ameer Advocate Abu 
Mohammad Selim and Dr. Mohammad Jahangir. The dars (religious lecture) was 
presented by Professor Dr. Abul Hashem.
 
The chief guest, central organising secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Professor 
Rafiqul Islam, said that the goal and objective of the Islamic movement is to 
strive to establish the religion of Allah on earth.

To achieve this goal, he emphasized expanding the organisation alongside 
improving the moral standards of leaders and activists.
 
He also stressed the importance of developing morally strong workers.
 
Among others present at the meeting were Assistant Secretary of Rajshahi city 
Jamaat Principal Mahbubul Ahsan Bulbul, Principal Shahadat Hossain, Prof 
Abdus Samad, Organisational Secretary Jasim Uddin Sarkar along with members 
of the Metropolitan Majlis-e-Shura.
