CHATTOGRAM, April 2, 2026 (BSS) – Police arrested two people in Chandanaish upazila of the district in possession of an illegal firearm.

The arrested are Babu Marma, a resident of Chemi Dolu Para in Kuhalong union of Bandarban district, and Jamal Uddin of Allahabad Putichhari in Chandanaish upazila.

Chandanaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Ilias Khan said the duo were arrested in front of Putichhari School Vita in Kanchanabad union on Wednesday night while they were attempting to sell a firearm.

A case has been filed against them under the Arms Act.
