SIRAJGANJ, Feb 15, 2026 (BSS) - A housewife was killed and another injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a rickshaw in Beera Ghat area of Sirajganj municipal town on Sunday morning. 

The deceased was identified as Ankhi Khatun, 25, wife of Faruk Hossain of the same area.

According to eyewitnesses and police sources, the accident occurred around 9:00 am when a bus collided head-on with a rickshaw in the area, leaving rickshaw passenger Ankhi dead on the spot and the rickshaw's puller injured.

Critically injured rickshaw puller was taken to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital for treatment.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sadar Police Station Md. Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter.
