RANGAMATI, Jan 3, 2026 (BSS) - The Baghaihat Battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh  on Saturday distributed winter clothes among poor and needy families in Baghaichhari upazila of the district.

The distribution programme was held in the Sealdah Para and Jampara areas, where Battalion Commander Lt Col Md Mohiuddin Faruki handed over warm clothing to the beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Lt Col Faruki said that alongside its responsibility of maintaining law and order in the remote hilly border areas, the BGB is also committed to the welfare of local people. He added that such humanitarian activities would continue in the future to support underprivileged communities.

Local dignitaries, including BOP Commander Nayak Subedar Md Mashiur Rahman, were present at the event.

More than one hundred poor and needy families received winter clothes during the programme.
