CHATTOGRAM, Dec 20, 2025 (BSS)- Detective Branch of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) have arrested one person along with a foreign-made 9 m.m pistol and a magazine from Lakkhipur sadar thana area  on Friday night. 

Police said the recovered arms and magazine were looted from Halishahar thana under CMP on August 5, 2024. 

DB Inspector Mujibur Rahman said the arms were recaptured following the confession of arrested Suman Hossain, 28, hailed from Lakkhipur sadar . 

Acting on a tip off, a DB team detained Suman from the Capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area on December 18 and Suman made confessional statement regarding the looted arms and magazine during interrogation in police custody . 

On the basis of his confession, police recovered the looted arms and magazine, wrapped with polythene, from Sumon’s village home on Friday night. A case has been lodged with Lakkhipur sadar thana in this regard.
