RAJSHAHI, Dec 1, 2025 (BSS)- Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) is committed to promote entrepreneurs for bolstering socio-economic development in the country’s northwest region.
The specialized commercial bank has been supporting small and medium entrepreneurs for overall financial growth and the reduction of poverty in the region.
Banking hierarchies made the observation while addressing the closing and certificate ceremony of a month-long training programme here today.
RAKUB organized the training titled “Entrepreneurship Development Program” at its training institute. Bangladesh Bank (BB) as part of implementation of its project titled “The Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP)” supported the training.
SICIP aims to increase the technology-oriented skilled workforce in Bangladesh's priority sectors by developing training, strengthening managerial and green innovation capacity, and expanding inclusive skilling for women and disadvantaged groups.
Its objectives include enhancing industry competitiveness through skilled workers and innovation, creating job opportunities, and building a more diversified and resilient economy.
BB Executive Director Rathin Kumar Paul and its Joint Director Ayub Ali addressed the ceremony as chief and special guests respectively with RAKUB General Manager Atikul Islam in the chair.
RAKUB Deputy General Manager Nabiul Karim and Principal of the training institute Subrata Kumar Sarker also spoke.
A total of 25 entrepreneurs took part in the training.
