DHAKA, Aug 30, 2026 (BSS) - Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Anda Filip arrived in Dhaka tonight on a visit to Bangladesh.

She landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:20 pm.

Secretary of the Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat Barrister Md Golam Sorwar Bhuiyan and other senior officials welcomed her at the airport, said a press release here.

During her visit, the IPU Secretary General is expected to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the IPU and the Bangladesh Parliament and various issues related to parliamentary diplomacy.

Anda Filip is scheduled to leave Dhaka on September 2 after completing her visit.
