The workshop, held at the RMP Traffic Office, carried the theme "Know the traffic laws, obey the traffic laws" with the aim of promoting road safety and discipline.
Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic) Nur Alam Siddiqui and senior officers of the Traffic Division attended the programme.
Participants were briefed on following traffic laws and maintaining road discipline, including avoiding illegal parking and wrong-way driving.
They were also advised to comply with prescribed vehicle colours and other regulations, pick up and drop off passengers only at designated places, avoid using high-noise devices on motorcycles, wear helmets, refrain from carrying extra passengers and driving under the influence of drugs and keep all required documents valid and available.
With cooperation from BNSB Eye Hospital, specialist doctors also conducted eye examinations and provided necessary eye-care services to participating drivers.
RMP officials said awareness programmes would continue as part of efforts to ensure safer and more orderly roads in the city.
