DHAKA, Aug 29, 2026 (BSS) — Police arrested 56 people in a series of raids in crime-prone areas under the Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The arrests were made on Friday, according to a DMP press release.

Of the arrested, 24 were from Mohammadpur Police Station, 10 from Hatirjheel, nine from Tejgaon Industrial Area, seven from Tejgaon, four from Adabor and two from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police stations.

The detainees were sent to court.
