DHAKA, Aug 29, 2026 (BSS) – The Motijheel Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 45 people in separate anti-crime drives during the last 24 hours.

According to DMP’s media and public relations division press release issued here today, the arrests were made during raids carried out on August 28 in different areas under the division.

It said as part of the anti crime campaign, the DMP has been conducting regular operations in different police station areas to maintain law and order and control crime in the city.

The release said that of the arrested, four were by the Motijheel Police Station, nine by the Paltan, three by the Sabujbagh, 18 by the Khilgaon, three by the Rampura and eight by the Mugda police station areas.

The DMP said no arrest was found by the Shahjahanpur police station.

Police took legal proceedings against them, it said.
