DHAKA, Aug 29, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 29 people in separate special drives in the capital's Uttara West and Khilkhet areas over the past 24 hours.

Of them, 19 were arrested by Uttara West police and 10 by Khilkhet police from different crime-prone areas, said a DMP press release.

Police said those arrested include accused in regular and warrant cases as well as people allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

Legal action has been taken against the arrested people.
