RAJSHAHI, Aug 28, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP has planned a series of programmes to celebrate the 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on September 1.

The programmes were announced at a preparatory meeting held at Bhuban Mohan Park this afternoon, chaired by Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP President Mamun Or Rashid.

Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator and Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Riton conducted the meeting. Leaders of the metropolitan unit, various thana and ward units and affiliated and associate organisations attended the meeting.

According to the schedule, the party flag will be hoisted at the Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP office at 7:00am on September 1.

A colourful rally will begin at 4:00pm from Batar More and end at Alupotti Mor, passing through Malopara, Moni Chattar and Zero Point.

Affiliated and associate organisations will also distribute food among underprivileged people at a convenient time and place.

Mamun Or Rashid and Mahfuzur Rahman Riton urged party leaders and activists at all levels to attend the programmes on time and ensure their successful and disciplined observance.
