DHAKA, Aug 28, 2026 (BSS) - Slovak Republic President Peter Pellegrini has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on assuming the Office of the President here. 

The Slovak President conveyed the greetings through a congratulatory message issued from Bratislava. 

In the message, the Slovak President said, “On behalf of the citizens of the Slovak Republic, as well as on my behalf, I congratulate you on the occasion of the ceremonial swearing-in as the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.” 

“I believe that long-term good relations between Slovakia and Bangladesh will bring opportunities for their future development for the benefit of the citizens of both our countries,” he added. 

“I wish you much strength and success in the performance of your demanding and responsible duties. At the same time, I wish all citizens of your country stability, prosperity and successful democratic development,” he further said. 

Addressing President Mirza Fakhrul, he said, “Please accept the assurance of my highest consideration.”
