DHAKA, July 7, 2026 (BSS) - The nationwide talent hunt program 'Natun Kuri Sports' will commence its national-level final round on July 18 to identify
and nurture promising young athletes across the country.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque confirmed this.
He said the government has taken long-term plans to build the careers of talented athletes emerging from Natun Kuri Sports.
He noted that the Prime Minister has personally directed arrangements for advanced training facilities for these young athletes. "Selected players will
be provided opportunities for modern training at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) and other renowned sports institutions in the country," he
added.
He said that long-term training programs will be arranged for the best players selected at the national level, helping them develop into
professional athletes.
In addition, the program will create opportunities for direct admission of talented players into BKSP.
This year's competition will feature eight sporting events across different venues in Dhaka, including the Mirpur Indoor Stadium, Mirpur Swimming Pool,
Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, and Army Stadium.
Although the games will begin on July 18, the tournament's formal inauguration will take place on July 21 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket
Stadium in Mirpur, with State Minister Aminul Haque attending the opening ceremony.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is expected attend the closing and prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest of the event on July 27 at the Army Stadium,
where he will hand over awards to the winners.
