DHAKA, April 02, 2026 (BSS) – The government today appointed District and Sessions Judge Md Monjurul Hossain as the new Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Bangladesh Legal Aid, replacing SM Arshadul Alam.

A gazette notification issued by the Law and Justice Division and signed by Deputy Secretary (Administration-1) Md Masum Billah said the order would come into effect immediately.

Meanwhile, the government also appointed Deputy Solicitor Sana Md Mahruf Hossain as Solicitor of the Solicitor Wing under the Law and Justice Division.
