DHAKA, Apr 1, 2026 (BSS) - In a day-long special operation, Jatrabari Police arrested 11 individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities across Jatrabari. 

According to a police press release, the drive was carried out on Tuesday in different areas under Jatrabari Police Station.

During the drive, law enforcement officials detained a total of 11 suspects and recovered a quantity of illegal narcotics from their possession.

The seized drugs include approximately 100 grams of marijuana, nine pieces of yaba tablets, and 44 units of heroin.

The arrested individuals have been identified as: Md. Afsar Hossain (24), Md. Anik (24), Md. Humayun (39), Md. Shaon (29), Md. Masudur Rahman (28), Md. Rabbi (20), Shuvo (27), Rifat (21), Md. Raju (28), Ariful Islam Joy (38), and Tasrim Sagar (25).

Police said the detainees have been sent to the court for further legal proceedings.

DMP officials said they will continue in order to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the areas.
