DHAKA, Mar 30, 2026 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today ordered the seizure of tax files of former Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Air Chief Marshal (Retd) Shaikh Abdul Hannan and his wife Tahmida Begum.
     
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, allowing two separate petitions filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The petitions stated that the accused, Shaikh Abdul Hannan and his wife Tahmida Begum, are taxpayers. For the sake of a fair investigation into the case, it is essential to seize all relevant records and documents, including the permanent and miscellaneous sections of their income tax files, from the time their original tax files were opened up to the 2024-25 tax year.
