DHAKA, March 20, 2026 (BSS) - Two stewards of the onboard service provider, SA Corporation (Hospitality Management and Brand Operation), have been permanently dismissed for black-marketing tickets of the Subarna Express train running from Dhaka to Chattogram.

At the same time, Bangladesh Railway has initially fined the onboard service provider Taka 7,500 and asked it to submit an explanation by March 24, said a press release today. If the explanation is not satisfactory, legal action will be taken against the company.

Recently, a video of two members of a ticket black-marketing syndicate involving tickets of the Dhaka–Chattogram-bound Subarna Express went viral on social media after being published by an online portal.

A preliminary investigation confirmed the authenticity of the video, and the involvement of two employees—stewards Minhajul and Imran—of the onboard service provider was proven beyond doubt. 
As a result, they have been permanently dismissed from their jobs. Additionally, the onboard service provider has been fined Tk 7,500 initially.
