DHAKA, Sept 8, 2026 (BSS) - The 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal

will be observed tomorrow.

On September 9, 1978, then-President Ziaur Rahman established the organisation with the aim of

empowering women.

Marking the founding anniversary, the party will pay tribute at the graves of Shaheed President

Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at Zia Udyan in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the

city at 10 am.

BNP Acting Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi will attend the event as the chief guest.

Besides, a colourful rally will be held on September 12 in front of the BNP central office at Naya

Paltan in the city.

All units, including divisions, districts, metropolitan areas, thanas, municipalities, unions and

wards, have been directed to celebrate the founding anniversary on their own initiative through

rallies, discussions and various social and organisational activities.

Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal President Afroza Abbas and General Secretary Sultana Ahmed have called upon

leaders at all levels of the organisation to successfully carry out all programmes marking the

founding anniversary with due dignity and grandeur.
