DHAKA, Sep 8, 2026 (BSS) - Four Bangladeshi expatriates were killed in a road accident while

travelling from Taif to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Md Nurul Hoque expressed profound shock and sorrow at the deaths.

In a condolence message, they said constant communication is being maintained with the local

authorities through the Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia regarding the deceased.

They assured that the bodies of the deceased would be brought back to Bangladesh as soon as

possible and necessary government assistance and compensation would be ensured for their families.

The minister and the state minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and sought

the blessings of Almighty Allah for the bereaved family members so that they have the strength to

bear the loss.

The accident occurred last night when an Innova vehicle carrying the Bangladeshis lost control on

the Riyadh-Taif road near a bridge, about seven kilometres from Ridwan Bridge towards Al-Hawiyah.

Four Bangladeshis were killed on the spot.

The deceased were Karim Uddin, Khalid Mia, Amin Mia and Shah Alam.

According to the Arabic documents related to the accident, all four were Bangladeshi citizens and

their homes are in Sylhet.

Among them, Karim Uddin and Khalid Mia were residents of Kanaighat upazila in Sylhet.
