NATORE, March 20, 2026 (BSS) – Eid gifts and iftar items have been sent to the family of helpless Selima Begum in Naldanga of Natore on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

State Minister for Social Welfare Farzana Sharmin handed over the gift items this morning.

She said no one in the country will remain helpless anymore as effective measures are being taken for the welfare of all disadvantaged people aiming to improve their lives and eliminate inequality.

The state minister also visited Selima Begum’s family in Anchrakhali village of Naldanga upazila, inquired about their condition, and handed over Eid gifts along with a message of sympathy from the Prime Minister. 

She assured them of continued support in the future too.

Amra BNP Paribar convener and Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman and member secretary Mokhsedul Momin Mithun were also present.

A report titled “Iftar with boiled gourd leaves, Sehri with only water” published in the media drew the attention of BNP Chairman and chief patron of “Amra BNP Poribar,” Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. 

He then instructed the organization’s convener Atikur Rahman Ruman to stand beside the helpless family.
