DHAKA, March 20, 2026 (BSS) – Like every year, five platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed at the traditional Sholakia Eidgah ground in Kishoreganj district to ensure the overall security of the devotees attending the Eid congregation.

“Five platoons of BGB have been deployed to maintain security and law and order during the Eid Jamaat . . . On the occasion of the  holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the 199th Eid Jamaat will be held at 10:00 am tomorrow,” said a BGB release signed by  Lt. Col.

 Touhidul Bari, Commander of the Netrokona Battalion (31 BGB) this afternoon.

He said the BGB members will perform their duties relentlessly, including creating a security cordon around the Eidgah Maidan and surrounding areas in coordination with the district administration and other law enforcement agencies.

The devotees coming to the Eid Jamaat have been prohibited from using any other route except the designated entrance, carrying any kind of bag, sharp weapons or anything suspicious, the release added.
