PATUAKHALI, March 18, 2026 (BSS) - In a humanitarian effort to spread Eid joy among underprivileged communities, Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud distributed sarees among 700 destitute women in Baufal upazila of Patuakhali on Wednesday.
 
The distribution ceremony took place in the afternoon at Ibn Sina Outdoor Auditorium in Kagjirpul area. 
 
The sarees were provided as Eid gifts on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
 
Speaking at the event, Dr. Masud said that 700 sarees were received as gifts from the Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and distributed among those most in need. 

He added that additional donations from his well-wishers would also be distributed in phases.
