DHAKA, Jan 7, 2026 (BSS) - BNP has withdrawn the expulsion orders of six leaders who were earlier expelled for violating party discipline and engaging in activities against the party's policies and principles.
A press release signed by BNP Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed the decision today.
According to the release, former joint conveners of Barishal Metropolitan BNP Habibur Rahman Tipu, Harun-ur-Rashid, Shah Aminul Islam Amin, former president of Maidan Dighi Union No. 2 of Boda Upazila BNP under Panchagarh district Advocate Habib Al-Amin Ferdous, joint convener of Debiganj Upazila Krishak Dal Md. Abdur Rahim and assistant general secretary of Dumki Upazila BNP of Patuakhali district Mizanur Rahman were expelled earlier from all positions, including primary membership for violating party discipline and engaging in activities contrary to the party's policies and principles.
In consideration of their appeals and in accordance with party decisions, their expulsion orders were withdrawn on Wednesday, and their primary membership has been reinstated.
