DHAKA, Dec 16, 2025 (BSS) – Honorary promotions and honorary commissions were conferred on two honorary flying officers and nine master warrant officers of the Bangladesh Air Force on the occasion of the Great Victory Day-2025 today.

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (admin) Air Vice Marshal Rushad Din Asad attended the ceremony as the chief guest at Bangladesh Air Force Headquarters here.
He formally adorned rank badges on two Honorary Flying Officers promoting them to the rank of Honorary Flight Lieutenant.

He also adorned rank badges on nine Master Warrant Officers conferring upon them the rank of Honorary Flying Officer.

Those promoted from Honorary Flying Officer to Honorary Flight Lieutenant are Honorary Flying Officer Mohammad Baharul Islam, Provost and Honorary Flying Officer Dewan Ali, Airframe Fitter.

Those promoted from Master Warrant Officer to Honorary Flying Officer are: Master Warrant Officers SM Yusuf Ali, Radio Fitter; Md Abdul Momin, Load Master; Mohammad Abdullah, Ground Signalling; Md Enamul Haque, Physical Fitness and Drill Instructor; Emdad Hossain Chowdhury, Engine Fitter; Md Mohsin, Provost; Md Israfil Hossain, Secretarial Assistant (General Duties); Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, Logistic Assistant; and Md Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury, Mechanical Transport Operator and Fitter.

Senior officers of the Bangladesh Air Force and invited guests were present at the ceremony. The honorary commissions will take effect from December 16.
