DHAKA, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has cautioned the public against misinformation being circulated on social media through a fabricated photo card falsely quoting DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali in connection with the recent attack on Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Osman Hadi.

In a statement, the police said a vested group is deliberately attempting to create confusion and mislead the public by spreading false and malicious content. 

The DMP has urged citizens not to be swayed by rumors or unverified information shared online.

The police confirmed that the attackers involved in the heinous assault on Osman Hadi have already been identified and the law enforcement agencies are actively working to arrest them.

The DMP has further warned that individuals involved in spreading false information and creating unnecessary public confusion regarding the incident will be brought to justice under the law.

Once again, the public has been requested to verify the authenticity of information received from any source, including social media, before sharing it further.
